Friday is going to be very special for World Cup football fans as Brazil will face off against Croatia and the Dutch team will take on Messi with Argentina. The team of Café the Plaza is gearing up for both quarterfinals on Friday, December 9th and the ‘Oranjeplein’ will again be the epic center of cheering fans.
During the previous matches, the atmosphere at the ‘Oranjeplein’ was simply exhilarating. Every match between the Dutch and Brazil drew a large crowd. And so far, this resulted in an amazing party. “We are again expecting a large crowd of people at ‘Oranjeplein’. Maybe even more than before, since both Brazil and the Netherlands will be playing on the same day,” says Lieke Wijga, Director of Operations of Aruba Wine and Dine. “We recommend coming early to secure the best seats at the square in front of the mega screen.
Before, during, and after the World Cup matches, Café the Plaza has a special deal at the outside bar: 5 florins for a bottle of Budweiser or Coronita. In addition, there is also a food stand with Dutch snacks with ‘frietje met’, ‘frikandellen’ and more. The matches will be broadcasted on 6 large screens and a mega screen at the shade-covered square in front of the bar-restaurant. Seating is first come, first serve. For kids, there is a free dino jump.
All the ingredients are there for a fantastic Friday of World Cup football. Brazil plays Croatia at 11am and the Dutch team faces Argentina at 3pm.
