Exciting News! Plaza’s Classics & Wine is happening again!
Following the great success of the 1st edition ‘Classics & Wine’, Café the Plaza is delighted to host the 2nd edition on Friday, November 4th, 2022.
When good food and good wine are appropriately paired, they have the ability to enhance each other’s flavors, rendering the whole taste experience a delicious and gratifying one. The amazing Mendel Semillon from Argentina will be presented in the 2nd pairing in combination with a tasty calamari in creamy garlic sauce. This exquisite wine presents typical Semillon varietal notes like white flowers and honey as well as some herbal notes and tropical fruits that truly give it its complexity. The oak brings notes of coconut and smoke which softens the wine on the palate. In the 5th pairing, guests will be presented with a Zolla Primitivo di Manduria from Italy which has a ruby red color with violet tones. Its stunning fruit quality and depth of flavor provide the very best of Primitivo. Its intense and complex perfumes of red cherries and blackberries combined with some spice really caress the palate. This magnificent wine will be paired with Plaza’s famous BBQ ribs & chorizo with coleslaw. These two pairings are just a taste of what’s to come during the ‘Classics & Wine’ event.
Guests joining the event will be able to enjoy all the delicious classics of Café the Plaza! It is a 6-pairing experience, each uniquely prepared and matched. The event will start at 6:30 pm and is $45 per person. It is recommended to make reservations seeing that it is a limited seating event (30 people max).
